The National Assembly member for Kombo East Hon Alhassana Bojang who passed away yesterday, 23 November 2016, at the Brikama health center was laid to rest in his native village of Pirang at 5pm.
Many APRC party supporters and sympathisers in Pirang in particular and Kombo East in general are in great grief on the demise of Hon. Bojang.
Cabinet Ministers, Akalolu, Chiefs, security personnel and people from all works of life all paid their condolences to the family of the deceased.
Before becoming a Deputy, Mr Bojang was the chairman of the Village Development Committee and also a sport committee member. He assumed office at the house of representative in 2011 and served his people for five years. Mr Bojang is said to have served the nation with deligence, aspiration and with open heart.
Speaking to this reporter, Karamo Daffeh the APRC Mobiliser for Kombo East Constituency noted that MP Bojang served his people with sincerity just to see the development of the nation. He said the late NAM worked on many projects like electricity and water and that he also worked hand in hand with the Minister of Basic and Secondary Education, Fatou Lamin Faye in building Pirang high School.
Mr Daffeh continued that D3million was given to the departed soul to construct the Pirang Mosque which he did.
