QUESTION OF THE DAY
What criteria are established for one to become the flagbearer of the coalition?
In order to become flag bearer of the coalition, it was gathered that one must resign from one’s party to become an independent candidate. The rationale given is that such an action would enable all parties to take ownership of the candidate.
Secondly, one is to serve a three year term.
The process appears to be in the making for the coalition candidate to have a symbol and colour that would be different from every existing political party.
Foroyaa is waiting to see whether all coalition members will adopt such symbol and colour during all coalition activities, especially on nomination day. One would determine whether uniformity would eradicate all party appearance from the campaign trail of the flag bearer.
