Chairman of the FIB sponsored Super Nawettan Ba S Jabbi has described this year’s crowd-puller 
community-based tournament as a ‘successful’ one.
In a summarized statement partly published, Jabbi said: ‘…A big congratulation to all the 12 zones especially the winner of the 2016 FIB super nawettan, Gunjur and the runner-up Banjul. The crowds that watched this year’s final 28th October 2016 at the Independence Stadium were just amazing. Many thanks go to the FI bank for sponsoring this year’s tournament, the media for coverage and air time, the security outfits for their valuable services, the fans clubs, the drummers, the referee association, the medics and of course the Super nawettan organising committee for the selfless service and relentless efforts in ensuring the football is played with minimum errors.’
