Kandji extends HJK contract

By Sulayman Bah Scorpion-hopeful MacoumbaKandji has renewed his agreement Macoumba Kandjiwith Finnish reigning Champions HJK Helsinki. The 28-year-old signed the new deal after his initial six-months deal elapsed. His renewal keeps him at the club until the end of the current season. The lanky front-man who’d been stupendous for the capital-based club campaign is offered a new agreement in recognition of his contribution to the club’s title retention crusade in which he scored six times. Kandji who is born to a Gambian mother and desires donning the Scorpions national colours, wasn’t short of suitors prior to signing. Kandji joined HJK before the start of the season after being released by his former employers from the Greece top flight. He was on target scoring HJK’s goal against Rapid Wein in the Europa League final play-off leg.  ]]>
