QUESTION OF THE DAY

WILL THE OPPOSITION MAKE PROGRESS BY VILIFYING EACH OTHER’S CANDIDATE

No one has submitted nomination papers to the IEC. It is not clear which presidential candidate will have their nomination papers accepted by the IEC. Hence if the incumbent is not to go unopposed there should be many credible opposition candidates to choose from. Hence at this moment no opposition parties should be working against another opposition party by trying to discredit its option of candidate. What is required is to promote dialogue among them to encourage collective initiatives to strengthen the masses so that they will be able to put all their energies in one direction. This is what can bring about a genuine democratic system where change could be effected through the ballot box.
