Mr. Sambujang Njie, the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of the Independent Electoral Commission (IEC), said he is reminding all those registered voters who need to replace their voters’ cards that the deadline to do so is 29 September 2016, which is eight days from today.
The IEC officer, who spoke to this reporter yesterday, said he is calling on all those registered voters whose cards need replacement to try and come before the time elapses.
“The replacement exercise had been ongoing at the various regional IEC offices across the 7 administrative regions in the country since June 1st 2016 and now it will be ending on 29th September 2016,” he said.
Mr. Njie added “This replacement of voter’s card is attached with a D100 fees and the replacement is done for those whose cards are lost, mutilated, burnt or defaced.”
