Scorpion-hopeful Bacari Njie seems to rediscover his scoring boots after a lengthy sabbatical owing to an injury  Bacari Njiethat ruled him out for 10-months.

The Spain-born Gambian goal-getter was on hand to rescue his club, netting a delectable last-gasp goal that won his Bulgarian Premier League outfit Cherno More CF all points.

Chernomore is within close range of reaching the Europa League places and this latest win, courtesy of the on-fire Gambian, offers weight to their campaign as they bid to return to Europe after their debut in the Europa League preliminary qualifiers, the previous term.

Chernomore first led after just six minutes ticked with Trayanov opening the scoring before the visitors’ Slavia Sofia equalized nine minutes on via Baldzhiyski, offering Pirgov a rare chance to race Slavia to a 2-1 lead.

Bacari Njie, the first Gambian to have played for Spanish La Liga side Espanyol, was thrown into the fray a minute into the second-half, replacing teammate Rasim.

The substitution paid off as Njie pounced, connecting his favoured left foot on an in-swing cross to the back of the net to level matters.

The 27-year-old former Real Zaragoza player was again at it basting another effort to steal the headlines, grabbing all points for Chernomore seven minutes from time.

Saturday’s goals were Njie’s second in five matches after missing majority of the season with an ankle injury as Cherno More sits sixth in the standings.
