By Mamadou Dem Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP), David Kujabi yesterday, 26 January, confirmed to reporters that nine fisheries officials are presently under investigations at the Police headquarters in Banjul in connection with an Audit Report covering the period January 2008 to May 2014.They include the former Permanent Secretary, Mr. Saine, present Permanent Secretary, Dr. Bamba Banja, former Director, Nfamara Dampha, and present acting Director, Mr. Darboe and other senior management staff. “They are basically being questioned on observations made on the report,” said the Police spokesperson. These officials have been held at the police headquarters since Tuesday, 20 January, 2015 without bail, which is more than 72 hours. ]]>
