Ramatoulie Sowe, a 3-year-old infant residing in Bundung in Kanifing Municipality, is in need of medical assistance in order for her to undergo overseas treatment in a cardio thoracic centre.

Isatou Jumo Jallow, the mother of Ramatiolie Sowe, said her daughter was admitted at the Pediatric Special Care unit on several occasions on account of congenital heart diseases under the care of Dr. Paulinho, Sallah and Lillian but she is still struggling with the same diseases.

“My daughter was born with this sickness and she has been suffering since the day she came to this earth,” she said.

Madam Jallow added that the condition of her child is deteriorating and the definitive treatment is surgical intervention in either Turkey or India.

According to the medical report issued by Edward Francis Small Teaching Hospital in Banjul, the little infant was admitted at the said hospital four weeks ago when she presented the international episodes of “bluish-dark” discoloration of the peripheries, lips and tongue which was associated with difficulty to breathing.

The report further indicated that the cause of the frequently recurrent hyper cyanotic attacks remains a mystery to the pediatric team. In view of her current condition, the hospital management recommended for little Ramatoulie to be taken for overseas treatment in a Cardio thoracic center.

The family of the three-year-old infant is seeking for assistance from philanthropies. Any Samaritan who wishes to assist Ramatoulie can reach her family on the following number: 9303033 or 382389.
