By Rohey Jadama Abdul Aziz Bah, a 3 year old boy of Farato Village, is in urgent need of overseas treatment for intestinal obstruction, according to the different medical report which his distraught father brought to Foroyaa. The father, Momodou Bah, recalled that his boy’s illness started 9 months ago but now it has gotten worst as he can urinate but cannot defecate anymore. The father said he has been to the Ahmadiyya Muslim Hospital, Sharab Medical Centre, Brikama Major Health Centre and Edward Francis Small Teaching Hospital and his son was diagnosed of intestinal obstruction. Mr. Bah explained that when he went to Edward Francis Small Teaching Hospital last week they flushed the stomach of Abdul for him to defecate and it is now one week after that but the boy has still not defecated. He said they were given an appointment to go back on the 21 September, 2015 for re-examination. The distraught father said despite his ailment, his son eats normally but he is advised not to eat food that contained starch. He said the boy has emaciated after having lost so much weight because of the illness. He said the boy is in urgent need of treatment abroad which cannot be done here but that he lacks the financial means to facilitate it.
