22 Year Old Seeks Financial Aid to Regain Normal Walking Condition

Mariama Saho, a 22 year old resident of Serrekunda, seeks financial support for her medical bills.

Mariama said she is suffering from a sickness which gives her tremendous pain, when she walks on foot, and has been battling with the sickness for the past four years.

Explaining the cause of her pain, Mariama said she fell down on her right hip and sustained problems with her bones in the right part of her hips (pelvis), and has been going through the ordeal for four years.

 “At the time of the incident, my Mother died. My father who was alive at the time, could not afford the expenses, because he was also confronted family needs, and battling with his own ailment as well. My family members took me to Senegal but cannot afford further expenses for my treatment which is very expensive,” she said; that as she continues in her quest to get the necessary medical service to be able to regain her normal health condition, her father died; that she later got married and that her husband cannot also afford the expenses.

“I went to Senegal for scanning, where they told me that the only way to cure the sickness is to change my pelvic bone, and the Doctors in Senegal said this will cost me CFA2 million,” she dilated.

“I am seeking financial aid from all and sundry to help me pay for my medical fees, to enable me get the required medical services to regain my normal health status”, she appealed.
