Reports have emerged hinting that Gambian international footballer Yankuba Minteh is interesting a suitor in Serie A in this January window.
Minteh and his club resumed their first training in 2023 on Wednesday. The club also stated on its website that, “In addition to the daily training, the prelude will also feature several training matches, just as the squad will also go to a training camp in Thailand at the beginning of February.”
“Serie A side, Udinese is preparing an offer for 18yrs old Yankuba Minteh. Minteh has 2 goals and 3 assists in 7 Superliga Matches. Odense BK is demanding €5M,” veteran Gambian journalist Baboucarr Fallaboweh disclosed on Wednesday.
According to a website run by Italian journalist and football transfer expert Gianlucadimarzio.com, negotiations have started with Odense for the offensive winger born in 2004.
“Udinese, always attentive to talented young players scattered around the world, does not betray its customs and is preparing an offer for the young Yankuba Minteh, a talent from the Norwegian club Odens,” the football site noted.
It added: “At the moment, the request from the Norwegian club is quite high, much higher than the 5 million euros from which Udinese started to try to grab the promising Gambian striker. Currently, the speeches have just begun: new implications are expected in the coming days.”
