Released by former employers,
Gambian player Yusupha Yaffa has finally gotten himself a new club,
Foroyaa Sport can report.
Yusupha, a former AC Milan youth product, joined MSV Duisburg on a
free transfer last week it has emerged.The forward initially under the books of German Bundesliga club
Eintracht Frankfurt wasn’t offered an improved contract when his first
deal elapsed despite being highly rated.
The Frankfurt outfit’s coach decided against putting the
Serrekunda-born in his plans in the wake of alleged off the pitch
issues involving the player. Yusupha had to drop level from the top
tier club in a bid to move away from glares of the press.
He was even linked to transfer to Romanian champions Bucharest. His
agent confirmed Bucharest’s interest in his client but opted to drop
the idea instead advising Yaffa to drop level to the second tier.
Seen as his best option, the attacker once called up to the Gambia
U-23 during Paul Put’s reign, has heed agreeing to join MSV Duisburg a
German second tier side.
Yaffa is currently with the club’s U-23s but remains in the fold to
make the grade to the A-team.]]>
