Winless Jam City United have for the first-time avoided defeat in the ongoing second division league in the 2021-22 football season. Played last Thursday at the Independence Stadium, the Jambanjelly outfit started the new year with a 1-1 draw against mid-table side Young Africans.
Jam City United’s start to life in the first division have been dismal as they lost all five matches and sat first-from-bottom of the table in the second division league. After the league’s short Christmas and New Year’s break, week six fixtures came out and they have managed to earn a point, which can boost their morale ahead of their upcoming fixtures.
Week six fixtures saw surprising results, including PSV Wellingara losing for the first time to a struggling Greater Tomorrow side who before the match had only three points courtesy of their lone win since the second division league commenced.
With this draw, in what is a positive result for Jam City, hopes are now high that they could pick up that momentum and start winning or risk languishing in the bottom of the league.
