Yesterday Foroyaa covered a forum, funded by Slovakia, geared to encourage the use of organic fertiliser for sustainable development. The Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Agriculture, who supported the idea, stressed its advantage over chemical fertiliser, noting the harm to the fertility of the soil through time and listing the economic benefits OF ORGANIC FERTILISER.
Foroyaa will be finding out from the Ministry whether they have any policy on the use of organic fertiliser for sustainable development, and if so what challenges do they face on this issue.
