Foroyaa was concerned that the Koina 22 would be left incarcerated at the remand wing of Janjangbureh Prisons while the judges go on vacation. Apparently, the courts have taken action that is likely to diffuse tension. Now 17 have been granted bail and 5 have been discharged. The justice system should be the final defender of rights. Whenever the liberty of the accused is at stake, remand is not the best way to further the cause of justice. Bail is the option unless circumstances dictate otherwise.
