This is the one million dollar question which Foroyaa has not seen answered in any gazette or issued in any public notice by the Government of The Gambia.
A government cannot impose any levy that is not provided by law. This matter is so serious that no responsible government should leave the public guessing.
The Gambian people are entitled to information on matters affecting their general welfare.
The free movement of people and goods across borders has been with us since time immemorial. Those who obstruct such movements are not only undermining general welfare but also the peaceful co-existence of our two peoples. Where the problems lie should be sorted out with immediacy.
