As we go to press Foroyaa received a complaint from a middle income earner that the highest valued rice is now D1750. Foroyaa would begin its investigation to establish the reason for the swift rice in cost at the very beginning of the financial year.
The Barrow administration should bear in mind that food inflation robs income earners any gain in the increment in salaries. Hence the rise in food items should be closely monitored since they tend to influence rise in rent and cost of living in general.
