By Sulayman Bah The Banjul Nawettan is the scene of suspensions with a wave of fines imposed on clubs for alleged misconducts. Makaan Bi’s Keller, Dingareh’s George Sarr, Warrior’s Kawsu Jammeh and Revelation’s Eliman Jagne have been slammed with suspensions for three matches for ‘unruly behavior,’ according to the Banjul Sports Committee. The punishments meted out means the aforesaid persons would not be allowed to sit on their respective teams technical seats or in the dressing room for team talks. In another move, the BSC fined G-Unit and Ajax each D500 for ‘pouring substance’ in the dressing room and football grounds’ even before kick-off triggering ‘unnecessary tension’ Dwain-Bi has also been fined for ‘praying on the goal post’ –a practice considered an affront to the outlined laws of the championship and the team has been ordered to pay up the fine before their next match. Efforts to get clubs reaction at press time proved unsuccesful. In match related developments, Revelation and Ajax top group A and B respectively on four points. Dwain-Bi and Makaan-Bi lead group C and D on three points each.]]>
