WATAF Honors GRA Leadership: CG Darboe and DCG Jallow Recognized for Outstanding Contributions to Tax Administration

The West Africa Tax Administration Forum (WATAF) recently awarded Yankuba Darboe, Commissioner General of The Gambia Revenue Authority (GRA), and his Deputy Commissioner General Essa Jallow at a tax conference held in Abuja, Nigeria.

On March 18, 2025, CG Darboe was recognized for his distinguished leadership and governance in tax administration, while DCG Jallow was honored for his continued service and dedication to WATAF.

These prestigious awards were presented during the WATAF Country Correspondents Conference and Training for Heads of Communications Departments, hosted in Abuja under the theme: “Fostering Effective Communication for Institutional and Corporate Development in Tax Administration: The Role of WATAF Focal Persons.”

The GRA delegation, led by DCG Jallow, also included Maar Sarr, Deputy Commissioner for Domestic Taxes, and Ebrima Saidy, Corporate and Public Affairs Manager. Together, they participated in discussions and strategic meetings aimed at improving tax administration practices in the region.
