Senegalese Premier League club Niarry Tally are on a run of goals in
Gambia beating latest casualties Gamtel three unanswered goals.
Laye Seck and Pape Sene did the damage with the latter netting a
brace. They recently taught Brikama Zonal side a lesson to forget on a
final 5-2 score.Niarry Tally finished second best the previous term controversially
losing the league on goal difference despite topping the table for
much of the league campaign.
And determined to rectify their last season blushes the club has
returned to Gambia to get their preparation off to a reeling start.
The avenue of staging their tour in Gambia, will offer Niarry Tally’s
technical bench chance to scout Gambian players to beef up their
budding squad. Such was the manner Gambia national team goalkeeper
Alagie Modou Jobe was tapped from Real de Banjul.
Jobe stood between the sticks for a SK East selection against the
Senegalese outfit and by the end of the friendly, courted the eyes of
Niarry Tally’s gaffer who wasted little time to raid Real de Banjul
for the net-minder.
Talks followed before Real gave Jobe the go-ahead who signed a
three-year loan deal.
