Information released by the Gambia Police Force (GPF) on their Facebook Page on the 29th of January 2023, indicates that two under age minors were killed by an alleged suspected mentally deranged adult in two different compounds in Kiang Jiffarong, in the Lower River Region (LRR) of the Gambia. The alleged victims are a male and female and both under six years of age.
According to the GPF report, the suspected mentally deranged adult who later ran away into the bush after the alleged incident, was apprehended and is currently helping the police with further investigation, and that a police team of investigators were dispatched on the ground to gather more information.
