Brikama’s Papa Nyassi is overwhelmed at his hat-trick feat this week.
The forward powered Brikama past Foni at the Boxba mini-stadium, hammering in three unanswered goals to fetch the Sateba outfit the spoils and ultimately becoming the championship’s current leading scorer.
‘We took the game seriously against Foni. We merely practicalized what we learnt at training ground. I’m happy having scored a hat-trick and a big thumbs-up to our fans for being there for the team,’ he said in the immediate aftermath of the duel.
Brikama began their campaign with a win over Sanyang to make them one of the few sides unbeaten in the ongoing Africell sponsored Super Nawettan.
In yesterday’s matches, Jaku slalomed past Serrekunda Central on a 1-0 score. Bakau recovered from their opening game loss to beat Faby 2-1 while Kombo Central II breezed past Farafenni 1-0.
