Sour league debut for Sawaneh

By Sulayman Bah Ebrahima Sawaneh haven’t the best of starts at his new club as Beveren endured defeat to Club Brugge in a league opening fixture. The striker had an automatic go into the team line-up starring till end of time with his involvement doing little to avert defeat.Goals from Castilo and Duarte were enough to subject Waasland to their first lost of the season. Sawaneh joined the club on an undisclosed fee signing a three-year deal that runs until 2017 in a move that sees him reunite with his ex-teammates after he left in 2008 in an unprecedented transfer. His signing it is hoped will spark the club front-line that has put up with a protracted profligacy in the face of goal in three hundred minutes of play. Elsewhere, in Finland, DawdaBah’sMYPa slapped five goals past Ebrima Sohna and Omar Colley’s KuPS yesterday afternoon. Omar Colley was inexplicably left out of the squad but Dave and Sohna played. MYPA settled for a 5-3 final score. Sainey’sRoPS lost a goal to nil to Lahti whilst Demba Savage scores his seventh season goal in table-topping HJK’s thrilling three-all stalemate with Inter-Turku.  ]]>
