Gambia home-based outfit are fired up to turnaround their 3-1 defeat
to Senegal in Dakar.
The Scorpions play host to the Taranga Lions this Saturday at the
Independence Stadium in a return leg fixture of the CHAN qualifiers
for Rwanda 2016.Ramadan was blamed for Gambia’s slip in Senegal.
And amid the tense pressure to deliver, reports are being bandied
that some players have been told to desist from fasting on
night of the Senegambian derby. Football authorities wouldn’t confirm
the claim.
Gambia must beat the visitors 2-0 without a reply to qualify to the
next round hurdle of the qualifiers. Bonu has already named a 23-man
strong squad for the showdown.
Tickets on the day of the event are pegged at D50 for covered
pavilion, D25 uncovered and D300 for VIP at the Bakau’s Independence
Stadium.
