The Senior Scorpions take on the deposed African champions at the Independence Stadium in what would be coach Sang Ndong’s first friendly match with the team.

Gambia last staged a friendly thirteen months ago in a 1-0 win over Mauritania with home-based player Ebou Kanteh the goal architect.

The test tie with the Chipolopolo –The Bullets – is in anticipation of Gambia’s last home duel in the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations Gabon qualifiers against the Bafana Bafana.

This comes following the decimation of the proposed friendly with Kosovo initially billed for May 27th. The Zambia test match though is scheduled for May 30th. Already a hand few of foreign-based Gambian players have been summoned for the fixtures.

Gambia sits bottom of Group M on two points in four matches, a grouping topped by Cameroon with Mauritania as second and South Africa third.
