Bubacarr Sanneh has thrown plaudits to fans for sticking behind the club aiding the side’s promotion after four Bubacarr Sanneh 2years of unsuccessful attempts.

AC Horsens grabbed a promotion slot in their make or break cracking duel against Skive over the weekend in which Gambia international Sanneh nib in the final goal.

AC Horsens had only Skive to swagger over to be guaranteed of place in the Super Liga next season. Sanneh and co did just what they thought of the oppositions with the ex- Real de Banjul skipper netting in a hard fought 3-2 win at CASA Horsens Arena with three matches to spare to official end of the domestic campaign.

And speaking for the first time since entering Horsens’s history books, Sanneh took to social media lavishing praises on fans including his teammates for a job well done.

‘Words cannot describe this feeling of helping my team to get promoted to the Danish Premier League,’ the 21-year-old who now has two year deal left of his initial three-season contract and was voted the club’s best player the previous term.

‘It was a tough match against Skive IK but the fans stood beside us and supported us all the way to get that 3-2 win at the CASA Arena Horsens!
It wasn’t an easy game but us, the players, gave it our all to see that our goals for the season are achieved. Let’s now give it that final push to get the top spot and end the season on a high… Thank you all for the massive support. 2016/17 Danish Superligaen, here we COME!!!! ‘

AC Horsens narrowly missed out on a promotion chance finishing on a disappointing note in fifth place the previous year. However, this year, having forked out cash to bolster the squad with signings, Horsens had their plans fulfilled albeit on an emotional note.

Finnbogasson raced the home side ahead only for Ohre to neutralize the equation before Mathias Nielsen placed Horsens in front again.

But Skive were charged up to give the hosts a laborious run for the points with Albech equalizing seven minutes from time.

When matters appeared to be headed for a draw, Sanneh, the only Gambian making waves in Denmark right this moment, proved the difference-maker plastering home the match-winner in injury time consequently securing the club return to the Super Liga after four years.
