Real de Banjul has offloaded player Mbemba Colley to rivals Gambia Ports Authority.
The forward is let go to make room for batch of new signings recently drafted by the capital-based side as they seek to rubberstamp their way to league title this campaign.
Colley, shuttled between wing-back and as a forward while at Real, is allowed to move on permanent basis in time for the new domestic championship.
The 23-year-old won several titles with the All Whites and played a big part in the club Caf Champions League campaign against FUS de Rabat.
‘As everyone knows, Mbemba Colley’s achievements have been nothing short of fantastic. Everyone at the club is indebted for all he has done and our sincere best wishes go with him. He will always receive a warm welcome at this club. He has been a leader for the club on and off the pitch and we are sad to see him go. But everyone at this club wish him all the best for his career in the future,’ club president Willy Abarahm said of a player dubbed “Daddy’.
Real’s lost will be gaffer Alagie Sarr’s gain as Ports Authority targets to bolster its squad.
