At the 60th anniversary of Deloitte and Touche Associates (DT Associates), President Adama Barrow has promised to provide the country’s private sector with an environment policy in which the sector can flourish, thrive, and reach its full potential.

“With this objective in mind, we are actively working to streamline regulations, increase transparency, and foster partnerships that encourage the private sector to play a more proactive role in our national development journey without great risks. We believe that the private sector propels growth and contributes significantly to shaping the future of our country,” President Barrow said.

The President added that his government’s goal is to build an economy that uplifts enterprises and enhances the lives and livelihoods of all Gambians. He advised the young people of the country and upcoming entrepreneurs to be aware that the future of The Gambia lies in their hands. The Gambia is an independent correspondence firm of DT Associates that provides professional services in the areas of audit, tax, and advisory services.

President Barrow said DT Associates is a testament to what is possible through determination, focus, and relentless pursuit of excellence.

“I urge you the youth, to learn and draw inspiration from their success,” he said, adding that the Gambia is blessed with untapped potential and opportunities, and with hard work and vision, new transformative businesses that would redefine their economy, will surely continue to emerge and grow.

President Barrow said they would continue to work together to create a Gambia that thrives on innovation, inclusion, and shared success, and expressed his appreciation for DT Associates’ six decades of contribution to the Gambia in accounting, auditing, and financial advisory services.

The President further indicated that every milestone in the private sector ‘such as the event we are celebrating today’, underscores the power of vision, leadership, and determination in advancing the national development agenda.
