Parliament to Hold Extraordinary Session On Special Prosecutor’s Office, Special Accountability Mechanism

The National Assembly of the Gambia is gearing up for an extraordinary session on the special prosecutor’s office and special accountability mechanism bills, 2024.

This, as indicated by the Office of the Clerk, is scheduled to take place from Monday 22 to Tuesday 23rdApril 2024, with the objective of considering the Special Prosecutor’s Office Bill, 2024, and the Special Accountability Mechanism Bill 2024, respectively.

“The Attorney General and Minister for Justice shall table the aforesaid businesses for the consideration of Members of the Assembly and daily sitting commences at 10:00am prompt. All those who wish to attend sittings are requested to obtain admittance cards from the Office of the Clerk at the entrance gate,” information from the Office of the Clerk indicates.

It reminds the public to comply with the standard dress code (traditional/ formal suit)required and to observe the silence rule during proceedings of the Session.
