Abdoulie G.Dibba Information reaching this medium indicates that Oustas Ousman Gaye and Aji Kora Ceesay of Mamudfana Village in the Niamina East DistrictCentral River Region South of the Gambia, were arrested by the Police of Jareng since on the 5th of January 2015. According to the information, since the arrest of the duo, they have not been released and their place of detention is unknown to their families. Family sources told this reporter at Mamudfana on the 28th of January 2015 that a uniformed police officer together with a plain clothes officer came to the village on Sunday 5th January a day after the village Gamo and whisked the duo away. Sources say that at Jareng, the arrestees were asked their names which they confirmed and then they were later asked to board a waiting vehicle that drove towards the Kombos. The source revealed that when the station officer of Jareng who accompanied the plain clothes officer was asked as why the duo was arrested, he said he does not know. When contacted on the issue, the Commissioner of Police for the Central River Region Commissioner Ebrima Cham asserted that he is not aware of the arrest and promised to find out.]]>
