Three leaders of Hamas are accused of shouldering responsibility for the suicidal acts that led to deaths and maiming of Israeli citizens on 7th October, 2023 which are considered as war crimes and crimes against humanity. In the same vein, two leaders of Israel are also indicted for the genocidal acts in Gaza which are considered to be war crimes and crimes against humanity.
This should serve as a lesson that the collective punishment of a people for actions taken by some citizens is unreasonable and unjustifiable.

The action of the International Criminal Court (ICC) follows the earlier decision of the International Court of Justice (ICJ) to caution Israel to steer away from genocide that it is gradually plunging itself into. Israel may or may not disregard the trend of its isolation.
