By Sulayman Bah Few more players have been slapped with bans to play in matches for rest of the season, Foroyaa Sport can report. Dawda Sonko of KGI is the latest adding to the list of an increasing number of players banned for the rest of the season by GFF league Organising Committee for alleged misbehaviours. Sonko is said to have, in a fit of anger, launched tirades at match officials in his club encounter against GFF First Division League champions Real de Banjul. Brikama United’s Ebou Cole also falls on a similar category. Cole according to FF findings, made a foul-mouthed rant from United’s dug-out at the match official. He is consequently suspended till next season along with two other Brikama players, namely, Ousman Darboe and Hamidou Bojang, who are given a two-match ban each and the club fined D2, 000. Fans of KGI are also slapped with a D2, 000 fine for hurling stones at match officials exiting the stadium, says the GFF. Meanwhile, in a roundup of controversial issues in the on-going domestic league, Ports Authority’s claim against Wallidan for purportedly fielding an ineligible player, Ousman Saho, loaned from second division side Tallinding United, is being investigated by the league organisers. In a similar case, Gambia Armed Forces FC has appealed against Brikama United for allegedly fielding an ineligible player reported to have picked two yellow cards.]]>
