By Sulayman Bah Gambian football is on the path to a massive facelift after Norwegian-based Holding company NORGA Company Limited dished out an array of items. The donation of these items, presented at the Kairaba Beach Hotel, is being spearheaded by Mamadi Ceesay. Witnessed by a plethora of Gambian sports dignitaries, the gifts include top modern artificial-turf for mini-stadium, full kits to 70 teams including promoted second division club Brufut United with 150 match balls, socks, shoes, tracksuit and jerseys and an S2S secrets to sport to the GFF.Free uniforms, lunch and lowered tuition fees for students and a football academy with international agents were also part of the donation from NORGA. Funds to kick-start the establishment of school and stadium in Brufut are already available in a bank account, according to Mamadi Ceesay. Ba Jabbi of Brufut Sports Committee and Kabba Bajo of GFF, who both spoke at the presentation, lauded Ceessay’s gesture as a beef up not only to Brufut but Gambian football in general.
