Public Relations Officer of the Gambia Police Force, Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police, Modou Musa Sisawo on Friday, 2 August 2024, informed this medium that the Police have arrested one Momodou Jallow, a 35-year-old local security officer from Marshall Security Company, for allegedly stabbing two police officers during an altercation. The incident occurred while the suspect was on duty at the Brufut Villa guard post on August 1, 2024.
“The two officers sustained injuries and were rushed to the Kanifing General Hospital for medical attention, where they are currently admitted and receiving treatment,” PRO Sisawo said.
PRO Sisawo said the weapon used by the alleged assailant has been recovered, and the suspect is in custody, pending further investigations.
