The ongoing criminal trial involving Mr. Lamin Fatajo, the former Coordinator of Rural Finance Project under the ministry of agriculture, Mr Lamin Mass, the former acting Finance and Administrative Manager of the same project, and Madam Ada Gaye, the former Agriculture Permanent Secretary, could not proceed again yesterday15 February, 2016 before Justice Simeon Ateh Abi of the Banjul High Court.
The Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) announced his representation for the state, whilst Lawyer Borry S. Touray represented Mr. Fatajo and Mr. Mass and Sheriff Marie Tambedou appeared for Madam Gaye.
The DPP told the court that they have their witness in court, in the person of Ebrima Jawara, who left the dock and which is why they are applying for an adjournment.
DPP Barkun further told the court that they have three more witnesses to call.
Without objection from the defence team, the request of the DPP was granted and the case was subsequently adjourned to the 14, 15 and16 of March, 2016 from 3pm-4pm respectively for hearing.
