How Does The Court Intend To Handle The Election Petition?

227

QUESTION OF THE DAY

The court appears to aim to finish the case within 30 days. It has therefore come to terms with the parties as follows:

All parties in the case should file and serve their lists of witnesses, witness statements and other particulars on or before the 24th December 2021.

The motion of Adama Barrow’s lawyers to dismiss the case on constitutional grounds will be heard on Friday 24th December.

The Court has set-aside December 28 to hear the UDP petition and ordered that UDP will have 5 days to argue their case, President-elect, Adama Barrow will have further 5 days to argue his case, IEC will be accorded 2 days to argue their case while the Attorney General will have only one day to present his case.

The whole country is waiting for the outcome.
