Have Imams Sawaneh, Gassama and Colley been released?
The Spokesperson of the Coalition has indicated that it is the wish of President Adama Barrow for all detainees to be immediately released. Some of the longest serving detainees are Imams Sawaneh, Gassama and Colley. Their family members and those of other detainees should reach out to Foroyaa to report on their current state so that if they are still detained, the information would be published for the consideration of the new government.
Unlawful detention of a sovereign Gambian citizen is an inhuman and degrading punishment which should not be condoned.
