Libya The Embassy, according to our source, has ceased operation as from Tuesday, 9th June, 2015 until there is a permanent and stable government in Tripoli. According to the source, there were many security officers including the agents of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA), CIDs and police officers on the ground who were seen taking note on all the assets within the embassy. He informed this paper that embassy staff was told by the embassy officials that the embassy was closed down yesterday because the Gambia government claimed that there is no permanent established government in Tripoli. The source indicated that at the time of going to press, the NIA and CID officers had left the embassy premises but that the police were still there. When contacted, Ebrima Saho, a senior staff at the embassy, said he has no comments on the situation.  ]]>
