One hundred and thirty -four Immigration officers have been promoted to twelve different ranks within the Immigration Force on Friday, 10th November 2017.

He said the promotion is a form of saying thank you to the promoted officers. “For some of us who are promoted today, it does not mean that we are better than the others but it is because of the recommendation of the services that we have been rendering to the Department as a whole,” he said.
The Director General of GID Buba Sanyang for his part, said the timely promotion is a proof of GID’s commitment under the guidance and leadership of the Ministry of Interior. To the newly promoted officers, the Director General of GID said, the well deserve promotion of the officers is in line with strengthening GID’s professional capacity.
“As the saying goes, to whom much is given, much is expected. I therefore urge you to see your promotion as a recognition of your competence and professionalism as well as being entrusted with a high responsibility to lead exemplarily and to help your subordinates reach the best of their potentials in the execution of their duties,” he said
The DG added that to those other officers who are not promoted, theirs is in the pipeline as many promotions of this nature are on the way. He urged them to continue their good job.
