Gambian midfielder George Cole has rifled in ten goals in his first season in Finland.
George, a former Wallidan play-maker, moved to Finland this last term after his release by Nomme Kalju whom he won the Estonian premier league title with the previous campaign.
The 24-year-old, signed to Finnish third tier club Atlantis reportedly till end of the season, scored ten league goals as they finished top in the group making him the sixth league top-scorer, an incredible thirty-goal difference between him and team-mate and league highest goal-poacher 23-year-old Tukiainen.
Atlantis will however have to remain in the third division even after topping the league following their defeat to Ekenas in the promotion play-offs.
Cole featured 22 times missing just five matches in the twenty-seven games played.
It’s unclear whether he will opt for pastures new in the upper divisions of Finnish football or remain at his current club.
Meanwhile, his Atlantis team-mate and countryman 25-year-old Buba Gibba has extended his contract until the end of the 2015 season.
