Just when the sports fraternity in the country is yet to grapple with the shock demise of Gambia national teammill-franc goalkeeper Fatim Jawara in the Mediterranean Sea, another athlete, this time a wrestler, has died via the Back Way conundrum.

Mille Franc, a Gambian wrestler, signed to Serrekunda Gum Sa Rew Club, has also died. The young wrestler, whose age couldn’t be verified at press time, met his untimely death last Friday.

Named Ali Mbengue, Mille Franc’s demise followed after the makeshift Lampedusa-bound boat he boarded, along with a dozen others, capsized in the middle of the ocean.
