Gambian father wants sudden death of British soldier son investigated

The father of a Gambian born British soldier who is also a veteran of the British Army, has called for swift investigations into his son’s demise, Ebrima Nyabally.

According to the father, he expects the U.K.’s Ministry of Defence to conduct thorough but swift investigations into the circumstances that led to his son’s untimely death, and urges everything to be handled by the relevant authorities in order for the necessary autopsy to be performed and information provided to the family with detailed analysis of his son’s death.

Also, members of the GUKFC (Gambia United Kingdom Forces Community), said they will undoubtedly provide comfort and solace to the bereaved family.

Meanwhile, as Gambians and friends of the Gambia mourn the tragic loss of this young promising Gambian life, The Gambia High Commission in the United Kingdom (UK) said it learned with sadness, the tragic and untimely death of a young 19 year old dual national, Mr. Ebrima Nyabally. The Gambia High Commission in the United Kingdom (UK) further said that the sad news occurred on Saturday 25th February 2023, and said Ebrima Nyabally was a serving soldier in the British Army.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with his bereaved family, colleagues and the United Kingdom military fraternity. On behalf of the government of the Republic of The Gambia, we extend our profound condolences to the immediate family of the departed soul, for their sad and painful loss and

may the soul of young Ebrima Nyabally rest in eternal peace. Amen!,” The Gambia High Commission in the United Kingdom (UK) said.
