Scorpions’ boss Tom Saintfiet has called in six strikers for Gambia’s World Cup qualifier against Angola.
The tie is scheduled for September 6th for the first-leg in Banjul.
A total 23 players are billed to train six of them being goal-getters headlined by Serie A Atlanta’s Musa Barrow.
Yusupha Njie of Boavista in the Portuguese league, Assan Ceesay from FC Zurich, Racing Santander’s Nuha Marong, Lamin Jallow in the Italian Serie B and Bubacarr Jobe in the Swedish second tier are the other names on the roster.
Saudi Arabia-based Modou Jobe is expected to stand in goal with Alagie Nyabally and Sheikh Sibi his understudies.
Sulayman Bojang (Konvingers Norway), Mamadou Futty Danso (unattached), Pa Modou Jagne (unattached), Simon Richter (Broshoj Denmark), Ibou Touray (Forest Green Rovers, England), Mohammed Mbye (Mjällby, Sweden), Ibou Touray (Salford City, England), Bubacarr Sanneh (Göztepe, Turkey) are the defenders.
MIDFIELDERS: Ebou Adams (Forest Green Rovers, England), Ebrima Colley (Atalanta, Italy), Dawda Ngum (FC Roskilde, Denmark), Bun Sanneh (Génération Foot, Senegal), Ebrima Sohna (unattached), Sheriff Sinyan (Lillestrøm, Norway).
Gambia’s two previous meetings with Angola ended a draw.
