By Sulayman Bah Gambia’s South Africa match venue will no longer be hosted in Gambia SA matchJohannesburg. The game was initially billed to be held in Johannesburg before been changed only on Monday, weeks ahead of the Gambia’s away game in the Rainbow Country. What prompted the sudden change has not been disclosed but according to the South Africa Football Association spokesperson Dominic Chimhavi, the game will now be hosted at the Moses Mabhida Stadium. The pitch, named after erstwhile South African Communist Party Secretary General Moses Mabhida, can hold up to 85,000 supporters. One of the pitches used for the 2010 World Cup, the stadium is multi-use. A GFF spokesperson told Foroyaa Sport yesterday that they are yet to receive information regarding the change of venue. Gambia takes on SA June 13th but will first slug it out with Uganda’s Cranes, four days before the Africa Cup of Nations 2017 qualifier match.]]>
