Tom Saintfiet is hoping no injuries hit his players ahead of March’s showdowns.

Gambia face Angola and DRC as the race to secure an Afcon berth intensifies but one thing remains a constant pose for qualms –players availability on time.

The latter line also covers the aspect of injuries. Hamza Barry is out on the fringes and hasn’t played for the scorpions upon sustaining a serious knock ruling him out for reminder of the Croatian Premier League.

He is currently without a club as he nurses an injury, but Tom is hoping this and many other abrasions are healed before Gambia’s next match.

‘Naturally it’s different when you can work every day with the team, my players will only arrive on Monday 22nd and I know that I have only two training sessions but I’m already 12 years as a National Team Head Coach so I’m used to it.

‘My biggest problem naturally is the availability of the players and hopefully no one will have injury,’ Tom told the GFF media team over the weekend.
