Alpha Jallow, a 21-year-old Gambia College student, is seeking assistance in a bid to pay his tuition fees.
Jallow is pursuing advanced diploma secondary in agricultural science and physical health education under the school of education.
A native of Sandi kunda village in Jimara District, Upper River Region (URR). Jallow said he hails from a poor family, and financing his studies at the Gambia College has been marred by challenges.
“I am expected to pay a tuition fee of D12, 000 yearly for three (3) years which is equivalent to D36, 000,” he said.
Jallow said he got a scholarship from MRC Holland Foundation recently to pay for his final year. However, he still has a balance to pay.
“I will not be allowed to write the examination and graduate without completing the payment. The balance I should pay is D24, 000,” he decried.
