Sainey Jawo one of Gambia’s two-man solid beach volleyball team feels thrilled after securing the country a quarter-final berth in the ongoing World Tour in Qatar.
Jawo partnered teammate Ebou Jarra to beat Japan before losing to Poland 2-1 in the second encounter yesterday.
Notwithstanding, the Gambian team still made the quarter-final cut which kick off today possibly against Mozambique.
‘I feel great and I was really excited, because this was my first appearance in the beach volleyball world tour and it was a big motivation wearing the Gambian Jersey,’ Jawo tellsForoyaa Sport yesterday evening from the tournament centre in Dubai.
