The Scorpions open their Afcon qualification campaign June 13th in Johannesburg and head of the tough task against the Bafana Bafana, players invited by the Gambia Football Federation are already jetting in to begin preparations. The current Gambia set-up is expected to be one with a new-look and an array of fresh faces to grace the internationals. Among players already in the country are striker Omar Jagne, Dawda Ngum Modou Barrow and Hamza Barry. 22-year-old Jagne of Dalkurd and 24-year-old Dawda Ngum, a defensive midfielder from Hollviken, ply their trades in the Swedish third division. Hamza Barry, who recently won the Maltese Premier League Young player of the Year, is among the players that have arrived.
