Defender Mamdou Futty Danso finally made his debut for new club Rayo OKC.
The 32-year-old defender got on the starting line up first against Sainey Nyassi’s Edmonton in a drab goalless stalemate.
While Nyassi got subbed after 73 minutes Danso on the other hand continued till end of game time helping keep out onslaughts at Rayo’s defence line.
Featuring at his best role as central defender Futty was also on the go against his former club Carolina Railhawks in a thrilling contest in which his side sipped in three goals after they lost 3-2.
The former Portland Timbers stopper who’d had a five-year spell in the Major League Soccer joined Rayo after end of his 12-month deal with Carolina Railhawks last term.
